The 2012 Baltimore Ravens – led by head coach John Harbaugh – finished the regular season with a record of 10-6, winning the AFC North. QB Joe Flacco threw for 3,817 yards and was only intercepted 10 times. Torrey Smith was the team’s deep threat, averaging 17.4 yards per catch with eight touchdowns. Ray Rice rushed for 1,143 yards and nine TDs. Baltimore opened the playoffs with a 24-9 win over the Indianapolis Colts before winning a 38-35 shootout with the Denver Broncos. In the AFC title game, the Ravens beat the New England Patriots, 28-13, to set up a meeting with the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl XLVII. Baltimore came away victorious, in a tight 34-31 contest, to win the championship.
