Lot #713: Lot of (8) Game Used Bats From The Willie Randolph Collection Including Cecil Fielder (Randolph LOA, PSA/DNA PreCert & Beckett PreCert)

Description

Willie Randolph was a standout player for the New York Yankees. A member of the 1977 and 1978 World Series-winning teams, Randolph was a steady presence at second base and at the plate. Randolph finished his career with 2,210 hits. Following his playing career that ended after the 1992 season, Randolph joined the coaching ranks and re-joined the Yankees in 1994. Randolph coached with the Yankees until he was appointed New York Mets manager for the 2005 season.

Offered here are eight game used bats that come directly from the personal collection of Willie Randolph. The first bat was used by Willie himself and is a Rawlings 259B model bat. This bat displays excellent game use and is un-cracked. There are ball marks and blue ink transfers present on the barrel. The handle has been taped in a criss-cross pattern to enhance the grip. The second bat was used by Cecil Fielder and is a Cooper Pro 100 model bat. This bat displays outstanding game use and is un-cracked. There are ball marks and cleat imprints on the barrel and Fielder has signed his name in silver marker on the barrel. The third bat is a Rawlings CD44 model bat used by Chili Davis, displaying outstanding game use and is un-cracked. There are ball marks, blue ink transfers and white leather scuffs present on the barrel. Davis has signed his name in silver marker on the barrel and inscribed “45”. The next bat was used by Brett Butler. Butler’s Louisville Slugger T141 model bat displays outstanding game use and is un-cracked. There are ball marks and checking or grain swelling from repeated ball contact on the barrel.

The next bat is a SAM Bat PO1 model bat used by Enrique Wilson. This bat displays moderate game use and is un-cracked. There are ball marks and cleat imprints present on the barrel and the handle has been scored to enhance the grip. The next bat was used by Ken Phelps and is a Louisville Slugger M110 model bat. This bat displays moderate game use and has a crack on the handle. There are ball marks and blue ink transfers present on the barrel. The next is a Louisville Slugger A122 model bat used by Luis Aguayo. This bat displays outstanding game use and is un-cracked. There are ball marks, white leather scuffs and checking or grain swelling from repeated ball contact on the barrel. The final bat in this lot is a Louisville Slugger S44 model bat used by Joel Skinner. This bat displays light game use and is un-cracked. These bats derive from the collection of Willie Randolph and a signed LOA from Willie Randolph will accompany these bats. This lot has also been pre-certified by Beckett Authentication.
