The New York Yankees are the most successful professional sports team in the United States.  The “Bronx Bombers” have won 19 American League East Division titles, 40 American League pennants, and 27 World Series championships, all of which are Major League Baseball records. But it is those 27 World Series titles that truly cement the franchise’s foundation as tops in the four major U.S. pro sports leagues.

There has been a total of 115 World Series contest, and the American League champ has won 66, the National League champion winning 49.  First played in 1903, the Fall Classic has been played every year since with two exceptions – in 1904, when the NL champion New York Giants declined to play the AL champ Boston Americans, and in 1994, when the series was canceled due to the players’ strike. The New York Yankees have played in 40 World Series through the 2019 season, winning 27 of them, with the first in 1923 and the most recent in 2009.

Presented is a complete run of 27 New York Yankees World Series Championship clinching game tickets; of the 27, 26 are authenticated, encapsulated and graded by PSA. The first item in this collection is a ticket stub from the Polo Grounds for Game 6 of the 1923 World Series, won by the Yankees 6-4 over their crosstown rival New York Giants on October 15, 1923. Babe Ruth hit his fourth World Series homer in this game, which was the first World Series title for the Yankees. This ticket stub has been authenticated and encapsulated by PSA (25661450) and is graded authentic. The second item in this collection is a ticket stub from Yankee Stadium for Game 4 of the 1927 World Series, a 4-3 Yankees win over the Pittsburgh Pirates on October 8, 1927.  Babe Ruth led the legendary “Murderer’s Row” with his 10th World Series home run in this game en route to the second-ever Yankees World Series championship. This ticket stub has been authenticated and encapsulated by PSA (23267841) and is graded authentic. The third item in this collection is a ticket stub from Sportsman’s Park for Game 4 of the 1928 World Series, played on October 9, 1928 and won by the New York Yankees, 7-3 over the St. Louis Cardinals. Babe Ruth hit World Series home runs 11, 12 and 13 in this game. This ticket stub has been authenticated and encapsulated by PSA (43763475) and is graded authentic.

The fourth item in this collection is a ticket stub from Wrigley Field and Game 4 of the 1932 World Series, played October 2, 1932 and won by the New York Yankees, 13-8 over the Chicago Cubs. This was Babe Ruth’s final World Series game. This ticket stub has been authenticated and encapsulated by PSA (43763477) and is graded authentic. The fifth item in this collection is a ticket stub from the Polo Grounds and Game 6 of the 1936 World Series, played October 6, 1936, when the New York Yankees beat the New York Giants, 13-5 for their fifth World Series title. The sixth item in this collection is a ticket stub from Game 5 of the 1937 World Series, played at the Polo Grounds in New York. The seventh item in this collection is a ticket stub from the 1938 World Series Game 4, played October 9, 1938 at Yankee Stadium. The Yankees beat the Cubs, 8-3, in what would be Lou Gehrig’s final World Series game. This ticket stub has been authenticated and encapsulated by PSA (41841281) and is graded authentic. The eighth item in this collection is a ticket stub from Game 4 of the 1939 World Series played October 8, 1939 at Crosley Field in Cincinnati, Ohio. The Yankees beat the Reds, 7-4, in 10 innings.
