Quarterback Eli Manning, running back Brandon Jacobs and wide receiver Plaxico Burress spearheaded the New York Giants during the 2007 NFL season, leading them to a 10-6 record and a postseason bid. Manning threw for 3,336 yards and 23 touchdowns, Jacobs rushed for 1,009 yards, and Burress caught 70 passes for 1,025 yards and 12 TDs. Defensively, Osi Umenyiora led the way with 13 sacks. In the playoffs, the Giants got by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers – all in tight games – to reach Super Bowl XLII. There, New York would face the New England Patriots, a team which had finished the regular season 16-0 while averaging a whopping 36.8 points per game, most in the NFL. The Giants shut down New England’s offense, winning the Super Bowl by a final score of 17-14.

Butler also led the Giants in total tackles during the Super Bowl (21 total - 11 combined & 10 solo) .This ring features a Giants “NY” logo – made up of diamonds – in front of the images of three Lombardi Trophies, each highlighted by a diamond acting as the football top. Additional diamonds surround the face, as “WORLD CHAMPIONS” reads in relief lettering. One side of the ring features the name “BUTLER” and his number “37”, while also displaying “ELEVEN STRAIGHT ON THE ROAD” and the NFL logo. The opposite side is centered by a Super Bowl XLII logo, with “NYG 17 NE 14” above and “02.03.08 AZ” below. Manufacturer marks appear inside the band of this approximate size 10 ring.
