Description

Jordan was sensational, averaging 31.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 2.7 steals per game. Pippen (17.8 - 7.3 - 6.2 - 2.4) proved to be much more than just a complementary piece, while Horace Grant added 12.8 PPG and 8.4 RPG. Chicago stormed through the playoffs, compiling a 15-2 overall postseason record, ending in a victory over the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA Finals. The 1991 title would prove to be the start of the Bulls dynasty.

After the Lakers took the opening game of the 1991 NBA Finals, Michael Jordan and the Bulls rebounded with four-straight victories, including all three games played at The Forum in Los Angeles to clinch victory. After Chicago’s 108-101 victory in Game 5, it was celebration time and offered here is one of the champaign bottles from the locker room celebration. Acquired by one of the Lakers ballboys, this Brut Chandon champaign bottle is unopened and has been signed by Michael Jordan on the front label in black marker. Also handwritten in black marker in an unknown hand, is the inscription “6-12-91” and “Champs Chicago Bulls”. This champaign bottle comes with a copy of the letter of provenance signed by the ballboy and a LOA from JSA (BB45747) for Jordan’s signature. This is the only Jordan signed champagne bottle that has been authenticated by JSA in their company history. This has been verified by James Spence.
