Lot #286: 2010 Los Angeles Lakers NBA Championship Player Ring (Artest) With Original Presentation Box

Description

Led by Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol, the Los Angeles Lakers finished the 2009-2010 regular season with a record of 57-25. Bryant averaged 27.0 points per game, while Gasol recorded 18.3 points and 11.3 rebounds per contest for head coach Phil Jackson’s squad. Ron Artest (who later changed his name to Metta World Peace) contributed 11.0 points and 4.3 rebounds per game. The Lakers got by the Oklahoma City Thunder, Utah Jazz and Phoenix Suns in the Western Conference playoffs to reach the NBA Finals. Los Angeles went on to defeat the Boston Celtics in a memorable seven-game series to claim the NBA title and repeat as champions.

Offered here is a 2010 Los Angeles Lakers NBA championship gold player’s ring given by Ron Artest Jr. to his father, Ron Artest Sr., featuring a stunning face made up of diamonds, while the team logo is emblazoned in relief work in the center. Raised images of the NBA championship trophy appear on either side, as 16 diamonds surround the bezel setting. One side boasts the year 2010 above detailed information on the Lakers run to the title. Included are the opponents and results of each playoff series, the team’s “57-25” record, and a scoreboard depiction of the deciding game, reading “LAKERS 83 CELTICS 79”. The NBA league logo and “2010 WORLD CHAMPIONS” are also shown. The name “ARTEST, SR.” appears on the ring’s other side - below “2009” - along with facsimile signatures of the Lakers team members. “SWEET SIXTEEN” reads at the bottom. The inside of the band is marked “JBH-M169” (Jason of Beverly Hills). This ring weighs approximately 73.9 grams and is an approximate size 13. Includes the original 6 x 6 x 4 ½ -inch presentation box which features an engraved plate reading “2010 NBA World Champions Los Angeles Lakers RONALD ARTEST SR.” and a Lakers team logo. The inside of the box comes complete was a spinning ring holder. Also included is a gold USB drive with “LAKERS 2010 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP RING” etched on it and encased in a foam padded 5 ¾ x 6 x 1-inch “JASON OF BEVERLY HILLS” box.
