Lot #1380: 2000 Los Angeles Lakers 14K David Stern Commemorative NBA Championship Ring

Description

The Los Angeles Lakers are undeniably on the short list of great franchises in NBA history, and the 1999-2000 season started another team dynasty. The Lakers cruised through the regular season, posting a record of 67-15 under head coach Phil Jackson. Shaquille O’Neal - named league MVP - averaged 29.7 points, 13.6 rebounds and 3.0 blocks per game. Kobe Bryant wasn’t too shabby himself, posting per game averages of 22.5 points, 6.3 rebounds and 4.9 assists. The Lakers’ season ended with a 4-2 series win over the Indiana Pacers in the NBA Finals, giving Los Angeles the first of what would be three straight NBA titles.

Offered here is a commemorative 14k gold Los Angeles Lakers 2000 NBA Championship ring. “L.A. LAKERS” and “NBA CHAMPIONS” are in raised lettering on the outside top with two small diamonds on the top corners. In the center is a large yellow stone with a raised Lakers logo in the center. One shank has “STERN” in gold raised lettering with “15” and “9” also in raised gold lettering on each side of a large full-color NBA logo. The opposite shank has “1999-2000”, a Larry O’Brien Trophy image and “66-16” (the Lakers regular season record) all in raised gold. The inside band of this size 11 ¼ ring has the “14K” stamp and this weighs approximately 40.18 grams. This comes with a velvet-covered ring box.
