This is the batting helmet Cal Ripken, Jr. wore while taking the final at bats of his 2,632 continuous game streak. The black batting helmet shows great game use. There are numerous scuffs and scratches found on the shell along with pine tar residue. The Orioles bird logo is intact on the front of the crown with some scuffing on its edges. Cal’s number “8” sticker is affixed to the rear of the helmet. The inside padding is intact and shows much perspiration staining and some cracking to the surface. The American Baseball Cap size 7 3/8 label and warning stickers are present. A team sticker with “008.001.006 GAME batting helmet From Game 2632” has been affixed to the interior. Cal has signed the rear pad in black marker, adding the date, “9-19-98.” This helmet comes with a LOA from Cal Ripken, Jr. for the game use and signature and a certificate from Beckett Authentication stating they witnessed Cal Ripken, Jr. signing this item.
