Hall of Famer and baseball Iron Man Cal Ripken, Jr.’s career accolades are legendary. Aside from his historic consecutive games played streak of 2,632, Ripken also had 3,184 career hits and 431 home runs. Ripken was also the American League Rookie of the Year in 1982 and a two-time AL MVP (1983 and 1991). Ripken led his hometown Orioles to their last World Series title in 1983. Another feat achieved by Ripken was him hitting for the cycle during the May 6th, 1984 game against the Texas Rangers. Offered here is the baseball Ripken hit for a home run during the May 6th game that had him reach the cycle. This Official American League Bobby Brown stamped baseball displays outstanding game use with dirt wear and other abrasion marks. Ripken has signed his name in blue pen across the sweet spot and inscribed “Cycle-Texas” above his name. Cal has recently added the inscription "Actual HR Ball LAST AT BAT 5-6-84" in blue pen on the north panel above his signature and previous incription. This ball comes directly from the personal collection of Cal Ripken, Jr. and a signed LOA will accompany this baseball.
