Remarkably, Ripken notched the same number of doubles, with 27, in 1999 as he did in 1998, when he played in 161 games. The 19-time All-Star posted an OPS+ of 144 in 1999, his highest mark since his MVP-winning, age-30 campaign of 1991. Ripken was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2007.
