Not since Ted Williams, Joe DiMaggio or Mickey Mantle has a player arrived in the Majors and made as big an impression as Mike Trout. From his rookie season in 2012, Trout proceeded to win the Rookie of the Year honors, three MVP Awards (narrowly missing four more), led the league in on-base percentage for four straight seasons, plus stolen bases and RBI once a piece. In 2018 he would hit .312 while leading the AL in walks, on-base percentage and on-base + slugging. Once again, he’d finish runner up in the MVP voting as he closed the books on another season in his sure-fire Hall of Fame-bound career.

Using this Old Hickory MT27* model bat during the July 13th game at Dodger Stadium, Trout went 1-for-4 with a walk as the Angels fell to the Dodgers 3-2 in an interleague “Freeway Series” game.
