Graded 60 EX 5 by SGC. Hall of Famer. This is one of three examples at its tier (with none graded higher) among a total of twenty-four copies recorded in SGC's census reporting. In 1908, Mathewson had a win/loss record of 37-11. However, the "1 Loss" variation, a relatively recent discovery that’s seen on this example, lists his record as 37-1 and is only found with a "Cycle"-branded back. Minor chipping and corner wear is evident on the item’s edges and corners; the card’s back is clean. An extremely desirable and scarce subject, in Excellent condition.

1911 T205 Gold Border Christy Mathewson, Cycle Back, "1 Loss" Variation - SGC 60 EX 5 "1 of 3!"
