Graded 40 VG 3 ("VG 3" equivalent) by SGC. Scarcer "Red Cross Tobacco" back. Here's a solid, surprisingly clean specimen of one of the "Big Three" rarities from the sometimes-underestimated T207 tobacco issue. This collectible is notable for near-perfect register in the southpaw's image. Two small wrinkles intrude hesitantly into the image-background area, and corner wear is consistent with the piece's grade. The offered card's most salient faults, though, are largely expressed on its back, in the form of scattered, relatively light spots of discoloration from contact with product. The piece's provenance includes the "Louisiana Find," the source of almost all of the very few T207 "Red Cross Back" examples that have been confirmed to exist. Favorably well-preserved Very Good condition, and an absolute treasure for the serious tobacco-insert enthusiast.
