This New York produced Opening Game program is from the Athletics 6-4 road victory. Frank “Home Run” Baker continued his multi-series mastery over New York Giants Hall of Fame hurlers by belting a two run jack off Rube Marquard in the 5th inning, increasing the A’s lead to 5-1. This 24-page program features a colorful artist's rendering of Giants manager John McGraw on the cover, along with a scroll likeness detailing his impressive seasonal record. The cover is damaged with a missing left edge and partial top and creasing throughout. On the pages within, black-and-white photos depict Giants players and executives-as well as a group shot of local scribes (dubbed "War Correspondents") that includes Fred Lieb, Grantland Rice and Damon Runyon. The program is all original, with a sturdy spine and light typical edge wear, and missing the score pages and is in fair condition.
