Graded NM-MT 8 by PSA. Hall of Famer. Each of the cards in this assembly display a black-and-white player photo plus a baseball "play" legend to determine the result of the player's action in the contest. The offered Cobb "Hit" specimen is a masterwork from its release, with a spellbinding image and nearly untouched surfaces and corners. The notion that a single card of this caliber—particularly an item that, by definition, was designed to be handled on a repeated basis—could have survived to deliver such a marvelous and fresh presentation, cannot help but engage the vintage enthusiast's fancy. Here's a career-contemporary example of the Georgia Peach, in Near Mint to Mint condition.
