Graded VG-EX+ 4.5 by PSA. Hall of Famer. This is the only example at its tier (with a single specimen graded fractionally higher) among a total of sixteen copies recorded in PSA's census reporting. The American Caramel Company was responsible for several baseball card sets, including the extremely scarce E106 issue of 1915. The offered entry from that production features the great Honus Wagner in his now-classic batting pose. The cards in this release are characterized by glossy surfaces that are very susceptible to cracking and creasing. The offered piece, however, exhibits an enviably intact surface. The well-centered example displays light touches at the corners and (an extremely favorable attribute in this issue) Wagner's image projects clear focus. The card's back is clean and its features are fully legible. An exceptional example of this sought-after relic, in Very Good to Excellent-plus condition. **As a point of reference on value, this exact card sold at auction in 2009 for more than $8,500.**
