Great panorama of the 1920 edition of the San Antonio Bears of the Texas League. A 20 year-old Lefty Stewart was a 9 game winner on this team and this print originates from his collection. 10 of the 14 Bears depicted in this photograph went on to the major leagues including Lefty Stewart whose 10 year big league career included pitching in the 1933 World Series. The 10" x 36 1/2" prints has condition issues with many tears and has been repaired in places with clear tape. The left 3" has been separated and taped back together but does not affect the image of the players. A Shreveport, LA photographer credit is visible on the right side of the panorama. Period panoramas are one of the most attractive and desirable of all baseball photography and to find one of such an early team and from the collection of one of the players is remarkable.
