The Chicago Cubs have had their fair share of lovable players, despite not winning a World Series title for 100 years. This trio of signed baseballs includes many of those players and a few characters as well. Includes: 1920s-30s Multi-Signed – ONL red and blue stitched well-worn, scuffed baseball with ten signatures including Lon Warneke (“6”), Gabby Hartnett (“7”), Guy Bush (“8”), Mrs. Lon Warneke, plus several others including a severely bogus Cap Anson. 1935 Team Signed – ONL Frick ball with 20 ink signatures including Charlie Grimm (sweet spot), Jim O’Dea, Hugh Casey (RARE!), Woody English, Clyde Shoun, Walter Stephenson, Stanley Hack, John Corriden, Roy Henshaw, Tuck Stainback, Roy Johnson, Fabian Kowalik, Freddie Lindstrom, Billy Herman, Billy Jurges, Chuck Klein, Phil Cavarretta (18 years old!), and Tex Carleton. Ball has holed drilled over label where it was once mounted, and “1935” written in unknown hand. 1940 Team Signed – Wilson Official Major League ball with 21 fountain pen signatures including Claude Passeau, Phil Cavarretta, Vern Olsen, A. Galan, Bill Lee, Al Todd, Stanley Hack, Ken Reffensberger, Dom Dallessandro, Bob Collins, Jake Mooty, Bob Mattick, Jim Gleeson, Vance Page, Larry French, Billy Herman, Hank Leiber, Bill Nicholson, Dizzy Dean, Glen Russell and Gabby Hartnett, which has been deemed a clubhouse variety. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
