Each card has been graded or assessed by PSA. Offered is a 29-card complete set of 1923 V117 Maple Crispette baseball cards. With it's incredible 5.22 GPA, this assembly merits the coveted "#1 Current Finest" accolades on the highly popular PSA Set Registry! The Maple Crispette Co. of Montreal produced this small (1-3/8" x 2-1/4) black-and-white card series featuring portraits of U.S. baseball players. The hearty young souls who managed to complete the 30-card set could redeem the cards for a free prize of their choice: an Official American League Junior ball, a High Class Base Ball bat or a Scholastic Model Glove. In an effort to sell more product and give out few prizes, one card—#15 Casey Stengel (which is the only subject this set is missing)—was rarely, if ever, distributed to the public, keeping prize distribution to a minimum. Due to the insurmountable task of locating a Stengel card, most hobbyists consider this production to be complete at 29 cards.
