Pitcher Alex Ferguson bounced back and forth between the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox from 1918 to 1925. Ferguson returned to the Yankees in 1925 where he picked up this New York Yankees payroll check dated “July 1st” 1925 in the amount of $530.64. Ferguson signed his name on the back in black pen and the receipt reads “Salary to June 30th”. The front has “The American League Base Ball Club of New York, Inc.” on the top and the check is numbered 8229. The check has also been signed by Ed Barrow. There are punch holes from when the check cleared which affect Ferguson’s signature and this been authenticated and encapsulated by PSA/DNA (83374750).
