Graded 40 VG 3 by SGC, one of fewer than forty copies holdered by that company. This is a visually engaging and crystal-clear photo postcard of the 1928 St. Louis Cardinals. The squad posed in this depiction won the National League pennant, but ran into the New York Yankees buzz-saw in the World Series and were swept in four games. The piece was published by Block Bros., and the image's player identity captions reveal Hall of Famers Bottomley, McKechnie, Frisch, Haines, Hafey, Maranville and Alexander. Unused, conceding mild to moderate evidence of handling. Very Good condition.
