Encapsulated and assessed "Authentic" by BVG. Hall of Famer. Seizing on the then most prominent figures of sport and cinema, the Exhibit Supply Company produced this fascinating novelty in 1929. It’s a postcard that projects the images of Tom Mix, Charles Lindbergh, Babe Ruth, Charlie Chaplin, Jack Dempsey, Harold Lloyd, Douglas Fairbanks, and Al Jolson – as a block of ersatz postage stamps. The card was dispensed by means of the company’s standard penny vending machines, during the same period as the distribution of the popular "Four-In-One" baseball and cowboy postcards. Ruth’s image on this card depicts the star as he appeared in the movie, "The Babe Comes Home." A pleasing specimen of this elusive and desirable, multi-faceted piece.
