Baseball historians rank the late 1920’s New York Yankees and the 1929-1931 Philadelphia A’s as two of the greatest baseball teams ever assembled. The Yanks of course had Ruth, Gehrig, Lazzeri and Pennock while the A’s boasted Jimmie Foxx, Eddie Cochrane and the greatest southpaw of all time, Lefty Grove.

This incredible ball brings together the heart of both of those great clubs along with several members of the 1929 Chicago White Sox. 18 iconic stars of baseball’s Golden Era have signed this Reach Official American League Barnard ball in blue and black fountain pen. Babe Ruth has signed the sweet spot of course and is joined on the side panels by fellow Hall of Famers Lou Gehrig, Lefty Grove, Jimmie Foxx, Herb Pennock, Tony Lazzeri, Mickey Cochrane, Red Faber and Bill Dickey. The other members of the World Champion A’s and Yankees, along with members of the White Sox includeTom Zachary, Art Shires, Homer Summa, Rube Walberg, George Pipgras, Eddie Rommel, Tommy Thomas and Sammy Hale. The ball shows nice toning from age and there are a few surface abrasions that slightly affect a few signatures, most notably on Walberg’s. The ball comes with a full LOA from JSA (B78291).
