Presented is a 25-piece complete set of baseball subjects from the 1930s pinback series that historically has been attributed to "Cracker Jacks." This popular set of 13/16"-diameter, blue-gray-and-yellow pins is a product of the "General Gum, Inc. of Chicago" and was part of a promotion touted to be a series of 500 pins showcasing at least 10 different themes. Each pin features a line drawing of its subjects and include some of the greatest players of the day. Hall of Famer highlights include: Cuyler, Dean (EX), Frisch, Gehrig (EX/MT), Gomez (VG/EX), Goslin, Grove, Hartnett, Jackson, Lazzeri, Lyons, Maranville, Ruffing, Simmons, Terry, Vance, and P. Waner. This attractive mid-grade set grades mostly EX to EX/MT (balance is VG/EX).
