The 1931 New York Yankees team, with its abundance of Hall of Famers and a 94-59 record, finished in a distant second place to Connie Mack's Athletics' team that completed the season with a total of 107 victories. Lou Gehrig led the American League with 46 homers and whopping 184 RBI, while batting an impressive .341. Teammate Babe Ruth hit a monstrous .373 and tied Gehrig for the league lead in homers while knocking in 163 runs.

This incredible baseball has been signed by 22 members of that 1931 New York Yankees team, including an astounding 10 Hall of Famers. Babe Ruth’s distinctive signature appears on its natural place, the sweet spot, while the remaining Hall of Famers of Lou Gehrig, Earle Combs, Lefty Gomez, Tony Lazzeri, Joe McCarthy, Joe Sewell, Bill Dickey, Herb Pennock and Red Ruffing have all placed their signatures on this ball. Other signatures on this ball include Myril Hoag, Lyn Lary, Cy Perkins, Roy Sherid and several others. This ball’s signatures are light, but still readable and has a coating of shellac for protection, combined with the natural toning, giving it a brown color. This a tremendous baseball featuring no less than 10 future Hall of Famers from the same team and it comes with a LOA from JSA (Z67489).
