Presented in this lot is a 1936 season pass to Yankee Stadium, valid for all New York Yankees home games. 1936 was an important year in Yankee history, as the young centerfielder Joe DiMaggio made his MLB debut and Lou Gehrig won the American League Most Valuable Player award. The Yankees went 102-51, winning the World Series in six games against the New York Giants. Gehrig, DiMaggio, Bill Dickey, Tony Lazzeri, and George Selkirk all recorded over 100 RBI, while Red Ruffing and Monte Pearson won 20 and 19 games, respectively, to anchor an exceptional pitching rotation. This season pass was issued to a Mr. Louis G. Melillo of Newark, New Jersey. The pass has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (25033432).
