Advanced collectors are well-accustomed to attending large card shows and buying singles for their set-building projects. Routinely, they'll wind up purchasing dozens of cards, but those quickly fade in significance if the collector has found even one "Strange True Stories" in making the rounds. Most of the great subjects in the Wolverine Gum issue are here, including such jewels as "Drowned by a Giant Clam," "The Mad Elephant" and "Death in the Sahara." Their legendary scarcity makes us glad that the company never fulfilled the initial promise of "260 super-exciting Strange True Stories," as advertised on the cardbacks.
