The New York Yankees roared back to life in 1936 by winning the pennant and World Series after an absence of three long seasons. This new team, led by Lou Gehrig and newcomer Joe DiMaggio, commenced to rule the American league for the next four years, capturing the World Championship each year and making an argument for being the greatest baseball dynasty of all-time.
The Spalding Official National League Ford C. Frick baseball has the signatures of 20 members of the 1937 World Champs including Hall of Famers Lou Gehrig, Joe DiMaggio, Joe McCarthy, Bill Dickey, Lefty Gomez, and Earle Combs plus Red Rolfe, Bump Hadley, Jake Powell, Frank Makosky, Babe Dahlgren, Don Heffner, Pat Malone, Roy Johnson, Jack Saltzgaver, Frank Crosetti, and Johnny Broaca. The black fountain pen signatures cover a range of shades, with the Gehrig being on the bold end. A great ball that captures the mid-point of the Yankees unrivaled 1936-39 dynasty. This ball comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA.
