Presented is a 50-card complete set of V301-2 O-Pee-Chee hockey cards issued between 1940 and 1941. For an all too brief span of three years, the O-Pee-Chee Company issued two separate 5" x 7", blank-backed premium quality series that delivered breathtaking black-and-white photographs of the time's most important stars. The inherent difficulty in locating these prized, large-size hockey collectibles, in estimable condition and in complete set form, simply cannot be overstated. Released only on a very limited basis, and virtually never encountered in locations south of the Canadian border, and is numbered 101-150. Highlights include: #'s 101 Blake (GD/VG), 108 Broda (FR, indentations on reverse), 116 Reardon (VG), 118 Apps (VG), 125 Lach (GD/VG), 130 Broda (trimmed, back damage), 131 Bentley (VG), 132 Schmidt (VG/EX), 136 Patrick (GD) and 146 Apps (GD/VG). Grades 38% VG to VG/EX (few slightly nicer), 26% GD to GD/VG, 36% lesser.
