Included in this issue are not only the stars of the day, but a good mix of past legends of the diamond such as Honus Wagner, Christy Mathewson and Walter Johnson. These treasures were released at the important hobby crossroads between the Golden Era of Goudey gumcards and the post-war Topps and Bowman period.
