Presented here is a ticket for Game 2 of the 1940 World Series between the Cincinnati Reds and Detroit Tigers. The Bucky Walters-led Reds took a 5-3 victory at Crosley Field in Game 2 to even the series. This iteration of the Fall Classic went the distance, with Cincinnati claiming Game 7 in a 2-1 pitchers duel between Bobo Newsom and Paul Derringer. With this win, the Reds avenged their previous season’s World Series loss to the New York Yankees and notched their second World Series victory. This ticket stub has been encapsulated and graded an EX 5 by PSA/DNA (18802475).
