Offered in this lot are six ticket stubs and passes to World Series games of the 1940’s, 1950’s, and 1960’s. The first ticket is from the Detroit Tigers 9-3 win over the Chicago Cubs in Game 7 of the 1945 World Series. Hal Newhouser, the back-to-back American League MVP in 1944 and 1945, pitched a complete game to earn his second victory of the World Series for Detroit. This ticket stub has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (23421896). The second ticket is from Game 2 of the 1950 World Series between the Yankees and the Phillies at Shibe Park. The Yankees won this game 2-1 in 10 innings thanks to Joe DiMaggio’s solo homer in the top of the 10th inning. Both Robin Roberts and Allie Reynolds hurled complete games in this instant classic. The Yankees went on to sweep the “Whiz Kids” in four games. This ticket stub has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (25293094). The third ticket in this lot is from the first game of the 1952 Fall Classic between the Yankees and Dodgers at Ebbets Field. Brooklyn came out of this game the 4-2 victors, riding home runs from Duke Snider, Jackie Robinson, and Pee Wee Reese to the win. Joe Black earned the win and Allie Reynolds took the loss, although the Yankees would have the last laugh, winning this World Series in the full seven games. This ticket stub has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (20810113).

The fourth ticket in this lot is from Game 2 of the 1963 World Series between the Yankees and Dodgers at Yankee Stadium. Los Angeles won this game 4-1, with Johnny Podres earning the victory. Bill Skowron homered for Los Angeles, Willie Davis hit two doubles, and Tommy Davis collected a pair of triples as the Dodgers went on to sweep the Yankees in four games. This ticket stub has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (22125751). The fifth item in this lot is a pass to Game 5 of the 1965 World Series between the Twins and the Dodgers at Dodger Stadium. Sandy Koufax pitched a gem for the Dodgers, going the distance with 10 strikeouts and four hits allowed in the Dodgers 7-0 dismantling of the Twins. For good measure, Koufax recorded an RBI single in the seventh inning to put the Dodgers up 6-0. This pass has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (22100695). The final ticket in tis lot is from the fourth and final game of the 1966 World Series between the Orioles and Dodgers. Baltimore won this game 1-0 at Memorial Stadium as Dave McNally outdueled Don Drysdale in a riveting clincher. Frank Robinson, the 1966 World Series MVP, accounted for the only run of the game with a fourth inning solo homer off his fellow Hall of Famer Drysdale. This ticket stub has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (21181722).
