Graded GD 2 by PSA. Hall of Famer, in a debut-year gum card appearance. Jackie Robinson was one of the most memorable figures ever associated with the game, and inspiring stories, in abundance, exist about all facets of Robinson's career. Accordingly, the Dodger icon's rookie cards are viewed as important cornerstones in any accomplished card collection. One of Robinson's first commemoratives is among the keys in the popular baseball series produced by Leaf, a notably scarce post-war issue. The offered example is a bright, nicely centered depiction conceding mild and natural corner wear. A few tiny specks of adhered material (likely from the back of a card that made contact with this one in a stack) can be discerned under close examination of the obverse. A significant, sought-after piece, in nominally Good condition.
