Jackie Robinson was one of the most memorable figures ever associated with the game, and inspiring stories, in abundance, exist about all facets of Robinson's career. Accordingly, the Dodger icon's rookie cards are viewed as important cornerstones in any accomplished card collection. One of Robinson's first commemoratives is among the keys in the popular baseball series produced by Leaf, a notably scarce post-war issue. The offered example is a quality depiction conceding natural, mild-to-moderate corner wear and gentle age-toning in its surface. An important and prized collectible, in Excellent condition.
