Graded 86 NM+ 7.5 by SGC. Hall of Famer, in his debut gum card appearance. As an entry in '49 Bowman's high number series, the Duke Snider rookie card never got much of a chance to circulate. Additionally, although the outfielder joined the Dodgers in 1947, Snider served as a reserve through much of his first two campaigns. Clearly, his breakout season was 1949, and that's when Bowman introduced him to young card collectors. Among the few of these collectibles that found retail customers at the time of release, the offered example has fared remarkably well. It has endured the years in a very satisfactory state of preservation: both front and back surfaces are clean, and the card's corners retain admirably well-shaped character. Near Mint-plus condition.
