Former first baseman Ferris Fain used this Hillerich & Bradsby K75 model bat during his time with both the Philadelphia Athletics, Chicago White Sox, Detroit Tigers and Cleveland Indians from 1951 to 1955. Fain was an All-Star selection in all four of those five seasons, where he had a .302 batting average, winning the American League batting crown in 1951 and 1952 and also leading the AL in doubles in 1952. This bat displays outstanding game use and is un-cracked. There are ball marks and black marks present on the barrel. The bat’s model number “K75” is stamped on the knob and Fain has signed this bat in faded black ink on the barrel with the inscription “To Joe with best wishes always”. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B16988) for the game use and has been given a high grade of GU 8.5, plus a LOA from Beckett Authentication (AA08605) for the signature and inscription.
