The 1953 Bowman Color release is among the most popular sets in our hobby, and the offered example depicting Mickey Mantle displays one of the series' finest nostalgic designs. This card is a very pleasing expression of its production's lovely aesthetic. Nicely balanced borders frame Mantle's attention-grabbing, batting pose likeness, and the item's marvelous print quality contributes to favorable eye appeal. A touch of corner wear is visible at the bottom right. A thoroughly enviable key subject from Bowman's first – and most impressive – oversized baseball issue, in Excellent-plus condition.
