Presented is an attractive gallery of cards featuring 20 subjects from the 1953 Topps baseball issue. These extraordinarily rare and colorful strips spotlight the character of the popular Major League production in a form that's almost never seen in the hobby. The offered piece is completely and properly printed on both front and back. Recovered as a discarded production relic, the sheet has been irregularly cut into two horizontal strips containing ten cards apiece. The pane's designs – showcasing the work of professional animator and noted Topps artist Gerry Dvorak – form an incomparable display of 1950s baseball legends. In all, twenty different subjects populate the array including Hall of Famers Roy Campanella, Ed Mathews, John Mize and Jackie Robinson. A delight to view, the piece boasts bright colors and clear images throughout. Nominal faults include heavy creasing - most likely due to being folded - near the middle of both strips (affecting #53 Lollar on the first strip and #'s 35 Noren and 67 Roy Sievers on the other), wrinkling through several cards including Campanella, Hearn, Robinson and Mathews and imprecise cutting that poses little distraction. The presentation quality is nearly Excellent.
