In 1955, the Brooklyn Dodgers fulfilled their long-awaited goal of winning the World Series. Buoyed by the top two finishers in National League MVP voting, Roy Campanella and Duke Snider, and an aging Jackie Robinson, the Dodgers defeated their crosstown rival New York Yankees in a ferocious seven-game series. This would be the Dodgers final World Series victory in Brooklyn, as they lost the following season in a rematch with the Yankees before moving to Los Angeles for the 1958 season.

This bat features the gold engraved names of the 1955 Dodgers on the barrel of the bat. Jackie Robinson, Duke Snider, George “Shotgun Shuba, Ed Amoros, Al “Rube” Walker, Joe Becker, “Pee Wee” Reese, Carl Furillo, Wm “Billie” Furillo, Jim Gilliam, Don Hoak, and Don Zimmer appear as signatures. Campanella, Walt Alston, Billy Loes, Carl Erskine, Harold Wendler, Roger Craig, Gil Hodges, Don Newcombe, Don Besent, Clem Labine, Jake Pitler, Dixie Howell, Frank Kellert, Ed Roebuck, Johnny Podres, and Karl Spooner appear simply as gold text. “Brooklyn Dodgers World Champions 1955” is also engraved on this black Hillerich and Bradsby bat.
