Graded NM-MT+ 8.5 by PSA. Hall of Famer. Among a total population of more than 4,600 White Back examples recorded in PSA's census reporting, fewer than one-half of one percent have attained a higher, unqualified tier. The 1956 season was Jackie's last with the Brooklyn Dodgers, and ultimately, his last in the Majors. At the close of the '56 season, the Dodgers traded Robinson, but he refused to report to those despised Giants and chose to retire instead. This rendering from 1956 therefore represents his last contemporary appearance on a standard card. It's a well-centered jewel that features a magnificent image of the superstar. Its borders are blazing white, its colors are stellar and all four corners are abundantly crisp. Near Mint to Mint-plus condition.
