Graded FR 1.5 by PSA. Hall of Famer, in a Rookie Card appearance. This scarce and intriguing 1960 Hemmets Journal hand-cut collectible dates to the year of Cassius Clay's Olympic gold medal triumph in Rome. The inimitable heavyweight champion, who compiled a spectacular 56-5 record during his professional career, stands as history's definitive pugilist, an American hero who redefined what it meant to be an athlete. This card, originally distributed as part of a four-panel page alongside Wilma Rudolph, John Ljunggren and Harald Nielsen, features text in Swedish on its back. The white-bordered collectible shows a clean, portrait likeness of the future Muhammad Ali, who became and remains an inspiration to millions. The piece is penalized in grading terms for an extended wrinkle running vertically at the left-side margin. Fair condition.
