The newspaper caption on the reverse states: “Mantle appears almost exhausted as he crosses the plate and is greeted by Elston Howard after belting his 48th homer yesterday.” Well, according to the front caption of this 8” x 10” photo, Mantle blasted this HR half way up the bleachers. Moderate creasing in the upper left corner with light paper loss on verso with date stamps.
