Presented is an extremely attractive group of uncut card panels featuring an aggregate total of 231 subjects from the 1966 Philadelphia Gum Co. football issue. This rare and colorful assembly spotlights the character of the popular NFL production in a form that's almost never seen in the hobby. These pieces are completely and properly printed on both front and back. Recovered as discarded production relics, the items have been irregularly cut into fourteen 15-card and 18-card segments. When these are laid out together, the result is a visually powerful spectacle! Dick Butkus's rookie card appears prominently in the group, and the first card of Gale Sayers occupies the top corner of one segment. (The Sayers card is PR, while the Butkus example is essentially perfect.) Other Hall of Famers represented on the panels include Bart Starr, Ray Berry, Bob Lilly and Fran Tarkenton. A delight to view, the gallery boasts bright hues and clear images throughout. Inevitable, scattered faults include various creases and edge wear that pose minimal distraction. All of the items show spots of glue residue (a few with associated damage). Overall VG to VG/EX presentation quality. These pieces are phenomenal survivors, projecting a grand aesthetic appeal!
