Offered is a 1966 National Football League and Super Bowl I Champion Green Bay Packers team-signed Wilson “The Duke” football with 46 signatures, including legendary head coach Vince Lombardi, quarterback Bart Starr and linebacker Ray Nitschke. The light brown leather football is embossed with the legend “Green Bay Packers” in black on the left of the Wilson Pete Rozelle Commissioner panel. The signatures, all in black pen, also include Bill Curry, Jerry Kramer, Willie Wood, Willie Harris, Bob Long, Doug Hart, Fuzzy Thurston, Tom Moore, Lloyd Voss, Tex Coffey, Allen Jacobs, Henry Jordan, Lee Roy Caffey, Herb Adderley and Forrest Gregg, among others. In the 1966 season, the defending NFL champion Packers had a league-best regular season record of 12–2, led by eighth-year head coach Lombardi and Starr at QB in his 11th NFL season. The Packers beat the Dallas Cowboys in the NFL championship game, the Packers' second consecutive NFL title, fourth under Lombardi, and tenth for the franchise. Two weeks later, the Packers recorded a 35–10 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in the inaugural AFL-NFL Championship Game, retroactively known as Super Bowl I. This item comes with a LOA from JSA.
