Pete Rose, the All-Time Hit King was arguably the greatest all around player in baseball history and leader of the 1970s Big Red Machine. He was Rookie of the Year in 1963 and winner of the 1973 National League Most Valuable Player award. Based upon factory records, and player use characteristics, it was during the prime of his career seasons of 1969 and 1970 when Rose used this 36 inch, 32.6 ounce, Louisville Slugger S222 model bat. This un-cracked club exhibits light use with ball and stitch marks on the barrel, and the model number “S222” stamped on the knob, and also written in pencil. Rose’s number “14” is written on both the knob and the top in black marker. All factory burn stampings are dark and deep. Full LOA from PSA/DNA, cert number 1B04221, graded GU 7.
