1969 New York Mets Shea Stadium Old Timer's Day Rocking Chair

The New York Mets presented this attractive rocking chair to Harold Weismann, who served as the Mets Director of Public Relations from 1965 to 1976, during the Mets Old Timers Day celebration on June 28, 1969. Creatively put together, five baseball bats form the chair back spindles. The seating area also includes a silver baseball commemorative plaque stating ‘NY Mets – Old Timer’s Day – Shea Stadium - June 28, 1969.” Weismann’s name is inscribed into the top back of the chair. Wonderful piece of Old Timer’s Day memorabilia from the season of the Miracle Mets.
