Oakland Athletics coach and former Kansas City A’s player Jerry Lumpe wore this gold flannel button-down vest during the 1971 MLB season, during his time as a coach for the Athletics. This jersey has the A’s logo and Lumpe’s number “41” sewn on the chest in green and white tackle twill. A second “41” is sewn on the back of the jersey in the same style. Please note that the front and back numerals and the A’s logo have been restored, and Lumpe’s name is not sewn on the back of the jersey. A “1971” year tag, a McAuliffe tag, and a size “44” tag are sewn on the front left tail. The fourth button on the vest has a small crack. This jersey shows moderate wear and comes with a LOA from MEARS, who have graded the jersey an A4.5.
