The 1971 All Star Game was the 42nd All Star Game since its inception in 1933 and was played at Tigers Stadium in Detroit.  The American League won by a score of 6-4 with Frank Robinson taking the MVP honors. The game was noted for the prodigious home runs hit by Reggie Jackson of the light tower and Johnny Bench to the upper deck in deep right center field. The National League squad was stacked and featured several members of the year’s World Championship squad from the Pittsburgh Pirates such as Hall of Famers Willie Stargell and Roberto Clemente, plus Dock Ellis and Manny Sanguillen, all of whom have signed this Official National League Charles S. Feeney stamped baseball. Hall of Fame Cincinnati Reds and National League Manager Sparky Anderson signed his name on the sweet spot, with other notable signatures including Hall of Famers Johnny Bench, Hank Aaron, Clemente, Lou Brock, Joe Torre, Steve Carlton, Willie McCovey, Stargell and Tom Seaver. Other signatures include Rick Wise, Colbert, Larry Dierker, Clay Carroll, Rusty Staub, Felix Millan, Don Kessinger, Lee May and others. The baseball is in good overall condition, only displaying minor toning and the signatures are clear. This multi-signed ball comes with a LOA from Beckett Authentication (A17959) for the signatures.
