Graded GEM MT 10 by PSA. Hall of Famer. This is the only example at its tier among a total of more than 1,850 copies recorded in PSA’s census reporting. The offered card is certainly the finest 1971 Topps Tom Seaver depiction in the hobby. (In fact, PSA has graded only five examples of this sensitive card as high as the unqualified PSA MINT 9 level.) This piece is a model of the '71 Topps ideal. Its centering is superb, and the hurler's image is so clear and bright that it delivers an almost three-dimensional effect. The green back is totally pristine with no discernible fault, and the corners' sharpness must be seen to be believed. Saving the best attribute for last: the black borders are immaculate. There is absolutely no chipping whatsoever, which is virtually unheard-of in this issue. This singular card lives up to all expectations, and is as splendid as one could ever hope to see.
