This bat dates to the sweet spot of Pete Rose’s career. During the four seasons it was used, Rose won an NL MVP Award, a batting championship, led the reds to a pair of pennants and a World Championship, of which he was voted MVP. During the period he averaged .312 and added 823 hits to his eventual record setting 4,256. Pete’s 1972-1975 era Adirondack 69A model bat is un-cracked and shows outstanding use. There are many ball marks with stitch impressions on the left, right and back barrel as well as red bat rack paint streaks. A light coat of pine tar has been applied to the handle. The knob has been stamped with the model number “69A” and Rose’s famed number “14” handwritten in black marker. The Hit King has signed and inscribed the barrel in strong black marker completing this Big Red Machine gamer. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B06171) for the game use and has been graded a perfect GU 10.
